Today was an eventful and insightful day as we visited an agricultural manufacturer for PAT Testing nestled in the picturesque farm countryside near Tewkesbury. The serene surroundings provided a striking contrast to the bustling activity within the company’s two expansive sites, both of which we thoroughly explored throughout our day-long visit.
Our journey began at the first location, an extensively equipped engineering shop. This facility is at the heart of the company’s operations, where innovative design and precision manufacturing of agricultural machinery take place. The shop is a hive of activity, filled with skilled engineers and state-of-the-art equipment working in harmony to produce machinery that is vital for modern agricultural practices.
PAT Testing Equipment
The second site we visited was even more impressive in scale. It consisted of a larger workshop and an array of offices and meeting rooms that facilitate the company’s daily operations. During our time there, we conducted comprehensive PAT testing across various areas. In the offices, we meticulously PAT tested all the essential equipment, such as monitors, PCs, laptop chargers, desk fans, printers, and more. The staff kitchen was also a focus of our inspections, where we ensured that all appliances, including kettles, microwaves, and fridges, were functioning safely and efficiently.
The nature of the business necessitates a wide range of equipment in the warehouse. This includes everything from 110-volt transformers and industrial plugs to handheld tools and larger, more powerful 3 Phase equipment. Our inspections revealed that five plugs required replacements due to damage or wear on cables. Fortunately, our proactive approach allowed us to repair all items on the spot, ensuring that no equipment was rendered unusable. This meant that there was no disruption to the staff’s workflow, preserving their productivity throughout the day.
Our commitment to repairing items whenever feasible is driven by a dual-purpose philosophy. Not only does it help in minimising unnecessary waste, making our operations more environmentally friendly, but it also proves to be cost-effective for our customers. By avoiding the need to purchase new equipment, we help them save on expenses and extend the lifespan of their existing assets. This approach underscores our dedication to sustainability and fiscal responsibility, benefiting both the environment and our valued clients.
